DECEMBER 15, 2025 — Open MIC, a leader in the field of investor engagement on issues related to technology and society, today announced the appointment of Audrey Mocle as the organization’s Executive Director.
Mocle has served as Deputy Director of Open MIC since 2022 and has worked with investors globally on a broad range of technology issues. Based in Toronto, she is an attorney with a wealth of experience in corporate human rights responsibility. Prior to joining Open MIC, Audrey conducted human rights impact assessments on behalf of leading global businesses and led the human rights program at the Royal Bank of Canada. Audrey’s research on business and human rights has been cited by the UN Global Compact, the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Audrey succeeds Michael Connor, who has led Open MIC since its founding in 2007. “Audrey is a proven leader whom investors can trust as they address the complicated societal challenges posed by new technologies,” said Connor, who will continue with Open MIC as a senior adviser and project director. “I look forward to working with Audrey to build on Open MIC’s track record of providing the kind of top-quality information and analysis that is needed for smart and effective shareholder engagement.”
“I’m honoured to take the helm at Open MIC at a time when greater accountability in the tech sector is more important than ever. Under Michael’s leadership, Open MIC has pioneered investor-led tech responsibility advocacy, and I’m both humbled and excited to carry this legacy forward. I look forward to working with the Open MIC team and all of our partners to foster tech investment for the world we all want.”
